Information about Ohio Emergency PPE Maker's Exchange

Ohio Emergency COVID-19 Makers’ Exchange

As the coronavirus pandemic unfolded, health systems sought help in finding sources for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to enable health care workers to safely care for patients. At the same time, manufacturers reached out to seek guidance on how they could retool or repurpose to contribute to this important cause.

In response, The Ohio Manufacturers’ Association (OMA), the Ohio Hospital Association (OHA), the Ohio Manufacturing Extension Program (Ohio MEP) and JobsOhio joined forces through the Ohio Manufacturing Alliance to Fight COVID-19.

The Alliance’s plea for support resulted in more than 1,600 responses from the Ohio manufacturing community.

Some had inventories of PPE to immediately contribute, some had retooling capability, some had warehouse space, some had raw materials, and all had a desire to help.

On this Makers’ Exchange, search for the organizations that responded to the plea for PPE. And get in touch to see if a match can be made between what you need or offer – to keep the essential products flowing to stem COVID-19.
